Nick Oweyssi (pronounced O-Way-See) is a member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, Houston Trial Lawyers Association, Texas Bar College, and Garland R. Walker American Inn of Court.
Cases Nick has handled have appeared on ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, Fox News, Good Morning America, Nancy Grace, the U. K.’s Daily Mail, Houston Chronicle, Houston Press, Law 360, and The Texas Lawyer.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of St. Thomas summa cum laude, Master of Arts from the University of Toronto with high distinction, and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Houston, where he served as a brief writer for the moot court team.
Nick has lived in Houston since 1977. He began his career as a college professor. As an educator, he received teaching awards and authored numerous publications. In 2001, he was recognized in Who’s Who Among America’s Professors.
He demonstrated his talent for advocacy when he was elected vice president of a local chapter of the American Federation of Teachers/AFL-CIO for five consecutive terms. His success with the union led him to law school, where he excelled in written and oral advocacy.
