Randy Canche has represented a diverse array of clients and devotes the majority of his practice to complex litigation matters. He has successfully settled hundreds and tried dozens of cases in state, federal, administrative, and arbitration courts throughout the world. Mr. Canche received his Bachelor of Science Degrees in Chemistry and Economics from Baylor University, where he graduated with highest honors and was on the Dean’s List every semester.
Since his law school graduation, Mr. Canche has worked at some of the country’s most prestigious law firms, where he has represented Plaintiffs in large personal injury, medical malpractice, commercial litigation, product liability, and employment litigation cases. His experience in personal injury and product liability cases is vast, with focuses on auto defects, crashworthiness claims, and defective tire litigation. His trial successes have resulted in the recovery of tens of millions of dollars for his clients. He has been involved in some of the highest profile multi-district litigation and class actions dockets in the U.S. While working on the defense side of the docket, he has represented some of the largest companies in the world and governmental entities in high stakes multi-billion dollar litigation cases.
His practice areas consist of catastrophic personal injury, products liability, premises liability, medical malpractice, employment litigation, construction litigation, and securities and business litigation. He has been a Texas Super Lawyer’s Rising Stars in Texas, which places him in the Top 2.5% of attorneys under the age of 40 in the age of Texas since 2011. He was one of the youngest lawyers ever to be awarded the distinction. He has been awarded by the National Trial Lawyers as a Top 40 under 40 in the U.S. for personal injury lawyers three times, awarded Top 100 Trial Attorneys in the US by the American Academy of Trial Lawyers four times, and Top 10 Personal Injury Attorney under the age of 40 in Texas by the National Academy of Personal Injury Lawyers four times, and has been AV Pre-Eminent Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Martindale Hubbell since 2012. He is fluent in Spanish.
When he is not litigating he is a professional bodybuilder and loves to travel with his partner Scottie and spend time with his friends, family, and dog, Elliot.

Kelly Garrison is a registered nurse with a Bachelor of Science degree in mass communication. She has certificates in legal nurse consulting, advanced cardiac life support, personal training and yoga instruction. She evaluates, summarizes, and researches cases using her medical knowledge and research background. Kelly enjoys reading, weight training, yoga, and dancing.
Kharla Renderos grew up in Richmond, Texas and has worked for the Oweyssi Law Firm since 2015. She has nine years of experience as a legal assistant, specializing in pre-litigation and negotiations.
Christal Reyes is a pre-litigation case handler with more than eight years of experience assisting with personal injury matters. She prides herself on successfully and compassionately helping thousands of clients through the most difficult times in their lives. Christal is a Public Notary of the State of Texas. Her motto to live by is “We rise by lifting others.” Her hobbies include traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
Lauren Smith joined The Oweyssi Law Firm in 2018 as the firm’s Litigation Paralegal. Lauren has ten years of experience handling personal injury claims and assisting clients with their individual needs.
Lauren attended Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri and the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. To pursue her passion in the legal field, she later attended The Center for Advanced Legal Studies and graduated with honors in 2007. She also received the national designation of Certified Paralegal from NALA (National Association of Legal Assistants).
