Most other vehicles dwarf in comparison to trucks. Trucks vary in size, but in general, the size difference between a truck and the average motor vehicle is astronomical. Because of this size disparity, drivers in other motor vehicles are highly vulnerable to damages and catastrophic injuries. And the unfortunate reality is that fatalities resulting from truck accidents — the worst case scenario — are all-too-common occurrences.
Tragically, a recent fatal truck accident on a Texas highway resulted in two fatalities. On a Friday afternoon, a dump truck crossed the center line and struck a pickup truck head on. The dump truck, along with its trailer, flipped over onto its side. The trailer was filled with sand, which spilled all across the Texas freeway. As a result of the crash, a small grass fire started in a patch of grass near the freeway. All lanes were closed for two hours.
